Virgin Atlantic operates the Clubhouse lounge network at LHR T3, MAN, JFK T4, BOS, and select international gateways. The LHR Clubhouse is a Virgin signature property - cocktail bar, hair salon, deli, and whisky tasting alcove.

• Flying Club Gold flying Delta - Delta Sky Club access via SkyTeam Elite Plus reciprocity.

Virgin Atlantic does not generally sell Clubhouse day passes to non-status passengers. Access is by status or premium cabin only.

• Changing an award costs GBP 70 or USD 100. Virgin charges an amendment fee of GBP 70 for changes to international flights originating in the UK, and USD 100 (or the local currency equivalent) for flights originating anywhere else. That is on top of any difference in price: move to a cheaper seat and Virgin refunds the difference in points and taxes less the fee, move to a pricier one and you pay the difference plus the fee. Name changes on a Reward Seat are never permitted once the ticket is issued, at any price.
• Cancelling costs the same amount, and it is a separate fee. This is the one people miss. The cancellation fee sits in its own clause at the same GBP 70 in the UK and USD 100 elsewhere, so it is not the change fee being reused. Change a booking and then cancel it and you have paid twice. Cancel more than 24 hours before your outbound and you get 100 percent of your Virgin Points back, plus the full taxes, fees and carrier surcharges, less that cancellation fee.
• The 24 hour cliff is the deadline that actually matters. Inside 24 hours of your outbound departure your points are gone and the carrier surcharges are gone with them. Only the taxes and fees come back, and the cancellation fee still comes out of that. No tier gets around it.
• Gold gets free date changes, and only date changes. Virgin waives the date change fee for a Gold member and for every passenger on the same booking reference, which is genuinely useful if you move plans around a lot. It does not touch cancellations, route changes or cabin changes: those cost Gold the full fee like everyone else. Silver gets no waiver at all. One caution worth knowing before you rely on it, this benefit appears on a single official Virgin surface and is not listed on the public membership tiers page, so confirm it when you call.
• Partner awards need more runway. When you change a partner award Virgin may have to request the seat from the other airline, and its own terms warn that responses can take up to 48 hours. Treat a partner change as a several-day job, not a same-afternoon one. Once travel has started, date changes and name changes on a partner award are not permitted at all. Virgin's terms are internally inconsistent about whether partner date changes carry a smaller fee than its own flights, so budget for the standard GBP 70 or USD 100 and treat anything cheaper as a happy surprise.
• There is no no-show rule, which is not the same as no consequence. Virgin's Flying Club terms do not state what happens if you simply fail to travel. No fee is documented, and no refund is promised either, so there is nothing to plan around and no reason to gamble. Cancel before departure. You may also see it claimed that Virgin reinstates points for a flight you did not take. The clause behind that claim covers seats Virgin itself failed to honor, not passengers who failed to show.
