- Earn points by paying rent or mortgage (no fee to pay, and the old yearly cap is gone under Card 2.0), plus everyday spend on the Bilt card.
- Rent Day (the 1st of each month) doubles points on non-rent spend and runs periodic transfer bonuses.
- Nearly every partner is 1:1; the exceptions are Accor Live Limitless at 3:2 (1,000 Bilt is about 667 Accor points), iPrefer at 1:2 and Amtrak Guest Rewards at 2:1 (2 Bilt Points for 1 Amtrak point).
- You need at least 5 qualifying transactions per statement for the card to earn points that month.
- Transfers are one-way and final, with no transfer fees or taxes.
- Rakuten shopping can pay out as Bilt points instead of cash back: Silver, Gold, and Platinum members earn 100 points per $1 of cash back (so $10 back becomes 1,000 points), while Blue members earn 50 points per $1. Link accounts under the Everyday Rewards tab in the Bilt app; Rakuten pays out every three months.
- Under Bilt Card 2.0, paying rent or mortgage stays fee-free, and you pick one of two ways to earn on housing each statement period. With Housing-only Rewards the multiplier scales with your non-housing card spend, from 0.5x at 25% of your rent or mortgage up to 1.25x once your non-housing spend matches your housing payment (a floor of 250 points if you spend under 25%). With Flexible Bilt Cash instead, everyday purchases earn 4% back as Bilt Cash, a separate currency you redeem at Bilt partners such as Lyft, Bilt Travel hotels, Grubhub and Walgreens, and every $30 of Bilt Cash redeemed unlocks 1,000 Bilt Points toward housing (up to 1x). The 4% is Bilt Cash under the Flexible option, not the card's point rate: base earning on everyday purchases is 1x points (2x on the Palladium). Housing earning is identical across the Blue, Obsidian, and Palladium cards, and you still need at least 5 posted transactions in the statement period to earn that month.
- Bilt Cash books BLADE flights. You can redeem Bilt Cash toward BLADE airport flights (up to $350 per seat, two bookings a year), combine it with points or cash at checkout, and Bilt cards earn 2X on BLADE purchases.
- Earn up to 3x airline miles on rent with certain co-brand cards. Two Bilt co-brand cards accelerate rent earning, both capped at $50,000 of rent per calendar year: the Air France-KLM Visa Signature earns 3 Flying Blue miles per $1 (then 1.5 per $1 above the cap), and the Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa cards earn 3 Avios per $1. These are US co-brand card benefits, on top of Bilt's standard 1:1 point transfers.
- Authorized users from age 13: You can add an authorized user from age 13 and set monthly and per-transaction spending limits, choose which merchant categories their card works at, pause it instantly and see every transaction. Teens 13 to 17 earn Bilt Points into your balance, and credit reporting starts when the user turns 18.

- What is the best Bilt transfer sweet spot? World of Hyatt, the crown jewel of the whole program, plus Turkish, Aeroplan, Cathay, and Qatar for airlines.
- How does Bilt earn points on rent? Fee-free on your rent payment. Under Bilt Card 2.0 the rent multiplier scales with your other monthly spend, with no cap on the points earned.
- Are all Bilt transfers 1:1? Nearly all. The exceptions are the hotel programs Accor at 3:2 and iPrefer at 1:2 in your favor, and Amtrak Guest Rewards at 2:1 (2 Bilt Points per Amtrak point). All transfers are one-way with no fees.
- What is the minimum to earn Bilt points each month? Five posted transactions per statement. Without them, you earn no points that month, including on rent.
- What is Bilt Rent Day? The first of each month, when Bilt doubles the points you earn on non-rent spend and often runs bonus transfer promotions to partners.
- Do Bilt points expire? No, not while your Bilt account stays active. Go 18 months with no rent payment, card purchase, or redemption through Bilt and you lose all your points.
