Four United Personal Cards Raise Welcome Offers, Up to 100,000 Miles

The United Gateway, Explorer, Quest and Club cards now carry welcome offers of up to 50,000, 80,000, 90,000 and 100,000 miles. The Gateway asks for $1,000 of spend and has no annual fee. Chase shows no end date.

The four personal United cards from Chase all carry bigger welcome offers now, and "up to" is doing real work in every headline. Each top figure includes 10,000 miles for adding an authorized user within the first three months, so you can see exactly what you get on your own.

  • Gateway, $0 annual fee: 40,000 miles after $1,000 in purchases, up to 50,000 with an authorized user
  • Explorer, $0 the first year, then $150: 70,000 miles after $3,000, up to 80,000
  • Quest, $350 annual fee: 80,000 miles after $4,000, up to 90,000, plus 500 PQP
  • Club, $695 annual fee: 90,000 miles after $5,000, up to 100,000

Every spend window is the first three months your account is open, and miles post six to eight weeks after you meet it. PQP are United's status qualifying points, and the Quest's 500 arrive after your first purchase, so you don't need to reach the $4,000 to collect them. They sit on top of the PQP the card earns from your spending.

The fee decides most of this. The Gateway asks for the least spend and costs nothing to hold, which makes it the natural starting point if you fly United now and then. The Quest and Club want $4,000 and $5,000 in three months and charge $350 and $695 every year, so they earn their place only if you fly United often enough to use what that fee buys.

Each card is open to you only if you don't have it now and haven't received a new cardmember bonus on it in the past 24 months. Chase labels the Quest and Club offers limited time and shows no end date on any of the four, so check each Chase page for the current terms before you apply.

This is editorial information, not financial, tax, or credit advice, and it is not a recommendation to apply for any of the United cards mentioned. The welcome offers and annual fees for the four personal cards are set by Chase and United and are accurate as of October 2026: the United Gateway Card ($0 annual fee, up to 50,000 miles, $1,000 spend requirement), the United Explorer Card ($0 annual fee the first year, then $150, up to 80,000 miles, $3,000 spend requirement), the United Quest Card ($350 annual fee, up to 90,000 miles plus 500 Premier Qualifying Points after your first purchase, $4,000 spend requirement), and the United Club Infinite Card ($695 annual fee, up to 100,000 miles, $5,000 spend requirement). Each spend requirement must be met within the first three months your account is open, and each top miles figure includes 10,000 miles for adding an authorized user. Each offer is available only if you do not currently have that card and have not received a new cardmember bonus on it in the past 24 months. Welcome offers, fees, eligibility, and terms can change at any time, and approval is not guaranteed. Confirm the current terms on the official Chase application page before you apply, and consider your own situation before taking on a new card or annual fee.
