Up from $595 before the August 23, 2026 refresh
Best for
Up to $500 a year back
On eligible American Airlines Vacations purchases, up to $250 January to June and $250 July to December
American's premium card got easier to reach. The Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Legend Mastercard is now offering 80,000 AAdvantage miles, and the spending bar came down with it.
- 80,000 AAdvantage miles after $8,000 in purchases in the first 3 months
- $695 annual fee now. Credits include up to $500 back a year on eligible American Airlines Vacations purchases (up to $250 January to June and $250 July to December) and up to $100 a year back on inflight and eligible Admirals Club purchases.
- Loyalty Points bonus: up to 40,000 additional Loyalty Points a year, 10,000 each time you reach 50,000, 90,000, 165,000 and 240,000 in the same status year.
Remember the 125,000 mile offer? That one wanted $15,000 in five months, with the same $695 fee. This one wants $8,000 in three.
The fee is the other number to weigh. It was $595 before the August 23, 2026 refresh, when this became the Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Legend Mastercard, so the credits have $100 more to justify.
American calls it the new cardmember offer, and its application page lists no end date.
