Switch Your Phone Plan to AT&T and Earn 20,000 AAdvantage Miles Per Line

This one is a phone plan, not a mileage bonus you can claim from the couch. American is offering 20,000 AAdvantage bonus miles per line when you switch your wireless lines to AT&T, and the offer ends at 9 p.m. PT on November 18, 2026.

If you were already going to change carriers, the only extra homework is putting your AAdvantage number on the AT&T redemption form within 14 days of activation. The bonus is per line.

What has to happen for the miles to post:

• Switch and activate: move from another carrier and activate a smartphone on an AT&T postpaid voice and data plan, with a new phone or one you bring yourself. You can do it online, by phone or in store.
• The clock: complete the AT&T redemption form with your AAdvantage number within 14 days of activation, then keep the service active and in good standing for at least 60 days.
• The cost: a $35 activation fee plus taxes and other charges.
• When the miles post: allow 8 to 10 weeks after the 60-day qualification period.
