Airline
Royal Club is the free frequent flyer program of Royal Jordanian, a oneworld member since 2007. It replaced the airline's Royal Plus program in 2018, and its four tiers are named after birds: Sunbird, Jay, Sparrow and Hawk. Silver, Gold and Platinum line up with oneworld Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald.
For most US readers this is a status program more than a place to spend miles. We found no major US bank points transfer to Royal Club and no US credit card tied to it, so your miles come from flying Royal Jordanian.
How to join, earn and keep your miles. Joining is free: register or log in from the Royal Club page on rj.com. You get 1,000 bonus miles after your first Royal Jordanian flight, plus 500 more for joining online. Miles are based on route distance, cabin, fare type and your tier. They expire after 18 months with no account activity, and earning, redeeming, buying, transferring, donating or gifting miles all count as activity.

The cheat sheet.
Ask Royal Jordanian for the miles price of a specific award trip. The mileage calculator on rj.com shows what flights earn, not what an award costs.

Who gets in, who doesn't, and the carve-outs.
Royal Jordanian Gold (oneworld Sapphire) and Platinum (oneworld Emerald) members get access to Royal Jordanian and oneworld partner lounges, with one guest. Platinum includes first class lounges. For oneworld lounges you must depart on a flight that is both marketed and operated by a oneworld airline, and your guest must be on one too. Check rj.com for the lounges on your itinerary.

Loyalty programs change rules, fees, transfer ratios, and award pricing all the time — sometimes without warning. We do our best to keep these pages current, but the program's own site is always the final word.
