United Cardmembers Can Bid Miles on New Year's Eve in Sydney

New Year's Eve at Taronga Zoo comes as the Emerald Experience, with premium wines and beers, grazing stations, canapes, desserts and live entertainment. United MileagePlus Exclusives is auctioning it as part of a trip for two to Sydney from December 27, 2026 to January 4, 2027, and it is open only to United MileagePlus Cardmembers. It is not transferable.

The package covers United Premium Plus airfare for two from a United hub to Sydney and back, with United Economy from and to a preferred US airport (48 contiguous states or Washington, DC, on United-served airports, no partner airlines). It also covers private airport transfers and six nights at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay in a king guest room. There is also a guided snorkeling outing and a Sydney Harbour jazz lunch cruise with an open bar of select drinks (premium spirits excluded). Taxes and gratuities are included in the price.

As of November 2, the high bid was 300,000 miles after 4 bids, and each new bid must top it by at least 1,000 miles. Check the auction page for the current price. Two packages are available, with a limit of one per person, and the auction closes 1:00 p.m. Central Time on Thursday, November 12, 2026. No miles are deducted until it ends.

Winners have 48 hours to check out after winning or the package is forfeited. Travelers must be 21 or older with a valid passport, the itinerary is subject to change, and the package is non-refundable and cannot be resold. A US mailing address in the 48 contiguous states is required, and PO boxes do not work.
