Thinking about a balcony or suite on a cruise, even one that is a year or two away? Book it through United Cruises by October 31, 2026 and the mileage earn climbs. Eligible United Chase cardmembers (United Cruises sets which cards qualify, so check its terms) earn up to 10 miles per $1, with a top of 60,000 miles per booking. Everyone else booking a balcony or suite earns 6 miles per $1, up to 45,000 miles.
The booking window is October 16 to October 31, and the sailing has to fall between October 17, 2026 and December 31, 2028. That makes this a planning tool for trips you already want, not a reason to add one.
The terms that matter:
- Earn is on the cruise price only, not port charges, port expenses, taxes or travel protection
- Miles go to one passenger per stateroom
- Miles post 6 to 8 weeks after the cruise is completed
- Bonus miles do not count toward Premier status unless stated
