• The welcome offer is up to 100,000 miles. You earn 90,000 miles plus 2,000 Premier qualifying points (PQP) after $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months, and another 10,000 miles when you add an employee card in those same 3 months. That spend works out to about $1,667 a month, so look at your next quarter of business spending before you apply.
• Unlimited United Club access for you and a guest is the headline perk, which makes the $695 fee easier to justify if you fly United often and harder if you only fly it once or twice a year.
• Earning is 8x miles on eligible United flights and 1.5x miles on all other purchases. You also earn 1 PQP for every $15 you spend, up to 28,000 PQP a year.
• Your first and second checked bags are free, for you and one traveling companion. A bigger group will still pay for the rest.
• There is no foreign transaction fee, so Chase will not add a surcharge on purchases made abroad.
• Employee cards cost nothing extra, and adding one inside the first 3 months is what unlocks the 10,000 bonus miles. The 2,000 PQP is separate: it comes from hitting the $5,000 spend.
