As of October 15, 2026, World of Hyatt members can gift points they already have to another World of Hyatt member online.
The limits:
- You can send one gift a calendar month, up to six a year, and you can receive one gift a calendar month, up to six a year
- Up to 525,000 points sent and 525,000 points received per calendar year
- Gifts start at 1,000 points and go up in steps of 500
- Both accounts must be active and open at least 60 days
Because the same limits apply to the account receiving the points, only one gift can land in it each calendar month.
The catch is that a gift is final once you submit it, and with one gift a calendar month a top up may have to wait until next month. Price the stay first, then send only what the booking needs. Gifted points arrive as Bonus Points.
