Short on World of Hyatt points for a trip you have already priced? Hyatt is selling points at 20% off through December 21, 2026, so closing the gap costs less than it normally would. It is a discount, not a bonus. You get exactly the points you pay for, just cheaper.
The discount starts at 7,000 points. Buy 2,000 to 6,000 and you pay the regular price. Points come in steps of 1,000, starting at 2,000. For a feel of the prices, 7,000 points is $145.60 instead of the regular $182.00, and 10,000 points is $208.00 instead of $260.00.
Hyatt normally caps purchases at 55,000 points a year, and promotions can allow more. One way to approach it is to price the stay first and buy only the points you are short.
