Capital One Entertainment
Capital One Entertainment is the bank's ticketing-and-experiences platform, where eligible cardholders can grab tickets to concerts, sports, theater and dining events - and pay with Capital One rewards, their card, or a mix of both. Beyond the everyday 500,000-plus events powered by Vivid Seats, the real draw is the cardholder-exclusive stuff: presale access, VIP packages, athlete meet-and-greets, and chef dinners you cannot just walk up and buy. Think of it as flexibility plus a velvet-rope line, not a points-maximizing play.
What you can redeem for
- Music - concert tickets, premium seats, exclusive sound checks, and artist meet-and-greets (including iHeartRadio festival and event access)
- Sports - tickets and VIP packages; as the official bank partner of the NCAA and MLB, marquee access like the World Series, College Football National Championship, and the Capital One Orange Bowl
- Dining - cardholder-only dinners with Michelin-starred and James Beard chefs, plus access at top food festivals
- Theater - presale access to Broadway performances
- Money-can't-buy VIP - occasional premium packages (private orchestra receptions, curated golf trips, etc.) that rotate in and out
How it works
Most inventory is fixed-price and powered by Vivid Seats - you pick the event, choose seats, and check out. You can pay three ways: redeem rewards, charge your eligible Capital One card, or split it between rewards and card. Not every event supports every payment method - the available options show up at checkout, and for split payments you toggle how many miles or how much cash-back you want to apply.
Separately, cardholder-exclusive presales (at capitalone.com/pre-sales) are an access perk, not a redemption - they get you early buying windows before the general public, but those presale tickets are bought on the regular ticket seller's site, not on the Entertainment platform itself.
Who's eligible & how to access
The Entertainment ticketing platform is open to anyone with a US-issued, Capital One (or Discover by Capital One) branded rewards consumer or small-business credit card in good standing, age 18+. Debit cards, private-label retail cards, and co-brand partner cards are NOT eligible for the platform. No specific premium tier is required, but earn rates differ: Savor earns 8% cash back on Entertainment purchases, and Venture X, Venture X Business, Venture, Venture Business, and Spark 2X miles cards earn 5X miles. Access it via the Capital One app, capitalone.com, or entertainment.capitalone.com. (The separate cardholder presales are open more broadly - including eligible debit and co-brand cards.)
Standout examples
Recently featured cardholder access has included the MLB World Series presented by Capital One, the College Football National Championship and Capital One Orange Bowl, iHeartRadio Music Festival seats and artist sound checks, James Beard Foundation and Michelin Guide culinary events, and Broadway presales. Premium one-off packages have included a private reception and performance with the New York Philharmonic and a golf trip across iconic English links courses. Inventory rotates constantly and varies by region and availability, so the exact lineup changes throughout the year.
Good to know
All orders are final - non-refundable and non-cancelable once placed, except when the event provider cancels (then you're refunded to original payment, with split rewards/card orders refunded proportionally). Cardholder-exclusive tickets cannot be resold; other Vivid Seats tickets may be transferred or resold. Postponed events are NOT refunded. Vivid Seats prices are set by independent resellers and can run above or below face value. Exclusive tickets are limited and first-come, first-served, with per-order limits. Browse inventory in the Capital One app or at entertainment.capitalone.com; find presales at capitalone.com/pre-sales.
Our take
Worth knowing for the cardholder-exclusive access - presales, VIP packages, and chef dinners you cannot get elsewhere - and for the genuine convenience of paying with rewards, card, or both. For ordinary tickets, redeeming rewards here is straightforward and flexible, though enthusiasts often get more mileage from Capital One's transfer partners; just remember every purchase is binding.
