There are a few different mechanics depending on the item:

• Fixed point price - many catalog experiences have a set Reward-points cost (redemptions generally move in blocks tied to Accor's standard 2,000 points = 40 EUR conversion).
• Auctions - you bid your Reward points against other members; highest bid wins, and bids are binding.
• Prize draws / raffles - you buy entry tickets with points (commonly 500 or 1,000 Reward points per ticket) for a chance to win; you are paying for a chance, not the item.
• Cash or points - some retail and travel items on the shopping portal can be paid with points, cash, or a mix. Inventory rotates constantly and is regional, so what you see depends on your market.
