Chase Sapphire Reserve 10 Year Anniversary: What's New

The Sapphire Reserve turns 10, and Chase is celebrating with more than a cake. Some of it is a real upgrade to a perk you might already use. Some of it is limited time offers worth a tap. And one piece is a contest that's fun but a long shot. Here's what each part actually gives you, starting with the easiest win.

The DoorDash credit

If you order DoorDash at all, start here. From October 1, 2026 through the end of 2029, the Reserve keeps complimentary DashPass, a $120 annual value, and adds up to $35 a month in credits on top.

That $35 splits into a new $15 monthly promo you can use on any qualifying DoorDash order, plus two $10 monthly promos for groceries and daily essentials.

The $15 is the piece worth noticing. Chase's new terms show it taking the place of the old $5 monthly restaurant credit, so this is a real increase, not $15 on top of $5.

It all sits on top of what the card already does: 3x points on dining and up to $300 a year in Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables credits. Easy money, but not fully hands off. There's no new Chase Offer to activate each month, but you do need an eligible DashPass membership, and you still have to apply the promo to a qualifying order at checkout.

How Chase Offers work

The rest of the deals run through Chase Offers, and there's one step people skip.

Chase Offers are merchant deals that come back to you as a statement credit. You click "Add to card" to activate each one before you pay, then pay the merchant directly. The credit posts after a qualifying purchase.

Two kinds are in play. The regular Chase Offers are personalized and they rotate, so your list won't match your neighbor's and any single one can drop off. The five anniversary offers below are different: Chase built them as a defined set for the 10 year celebration, not part of the rotating lineup.

Five anniversary travel offers

For the anniversary, Chase loaded five travel offers into that same Chase Offers rail. Treat them as money off spending you were already going to do, not free cash. Each one has to be activated first.

• IHG Hotels & Resorts: spend $500 or more on an eligible stay, get $125 back. Pay by October 14, 2026. US only.
• Miraval & Alila (World of Hyatt): spend $1,000 on a stay, get $250 back. By December 14, 2026. US only.
• JSX (semi private flights): spend $200, get $200 back. By December 14, 2026.
• SIXT (premium car rental): spend $500, get $125 back. By December 14, 2026.
• Wander (vacation homes): spend $1,500, get $350 back. By December 14, 2026.

Be honest with yourself on that last one. Spending $1,500 to get $350 back isn't a deal, it's an expensive hobby. These only pay off if you were buying the thing anyway.

And even though Chase created this set for the anniversary, the offers are still targeted, so not every cardholder sees all five. Check your own Chase Offers to see which ones are actually yours. If all five do land, that's up to $1,050 back after $3,700 in qualifying spend.

The $250 Chase Travel hotel credit

This one isn't part of the anniversary, but it folds neatly into the same trip. The Reserve gives a one time statement credit of up to $250 on a prepaid hotel stay booked through Chase Travel, with a minimum of two nights in a row at the same property, good through December 31, 2026.

The stay has to be prepaid through the Chase Travel portal to count, and you won't earn points on the part the credit covers. Chase publishes the eligible brands: IHG, Montage, Pendry, Omni, Virgin Hotels, Minor Hotels, and Pan Pacific.

Keep this one separate from the IHG anniversary offer above. Different money, different rules.

Stacking the hotel credits

The Reserve carries more than one hotel credit, and they can pile up in a way that sounds too good until you read how it works. On a single prepaid Chase Travel stay of two nights or more, three separate credits can stack: the up to $500 The Edit credit, then the up to $250 select hotel credit, then the $300 annual travel credit.

The catch is that all three only land in full when the reservation is big enough. Chase's own example is a $1,820 stay that nets $800 back, and you need a booking above $800 for all three to apply.

One thing that doesn't join the party is the anniversary IHG offer. That one only pays out when you book and pay IHG directly, while these three credits require a prepaid Chase Travel booking. Different channel, so you can't turn this into a four credit stack on the same reservation.

The anniversary contest

Chase is also running a contest called "Celebrating 10 Rewarding Years with Chase Sapphire Reserve." Entry runs September 16 to November 6, 2026.

To enter, you need to be a Reserve primary cardholder in good standing as of September 15, 2026, be 18 or older, live in the US, and have a public Instagram or TikTok. You film an up to 90 second video about a favorite trip since 2016, no AI allowed, post it as a Reel or TikTok with #10RewardingYearswithSapphireReserve and #contest, then register at chase.com/SapphireReserveContest with the last 4 of your card and the video link. The prizes are huge, and so are the strings. Ten finalists each get 500,000 points plus a $1,500 check toward taxes. The grand winner is one of those ten, so they walk away with 5,000,000 points on top of the 500,000, which comes to 5.5 million points in all, plus a $15,000 check toward taxes.

Those 5,000,000 grand prize points aren't yours to spend however you like. They fund a trip booked through a Chase Travel Designer, and it's use it or lose it. If the trip costs less than 5,000,000 points, you don't get the difference back, not in points and not in cash. If it costs more, you cover the rest.

Here's how the winner is chosen. Judges pick the top 10 finalists first. Then the grand winner is the one with the highest combined score, weighted 80% judges and 20% public vote. So the public vote matters, but it doesn't decide it on its own. The winner is announced January 12, 2027.

Before you film, know what you're signing up for. Your video is public, you're on camera, part of the final score is a public vote, and winners assign Chase perpetual rights to the video and have to clear a W-9 and a background check. It's a one in many shot, so enter because the video sounds fun, not because you've already mentally spent 5.5 million points. No purchase necessary. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited.
