Some Sapphire Reserve Cardholders Can Get Three Months of Marriott Gold. Check Your Account by September 30.

Chase is offering three months of Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status to some Sapphire Reserve cardholders. The word that matters is some. Participation is by invitation, so before anything else, check whether the offer is actually in your account.

Check first. Sign in to Chase, open Benefits on your Sapphire Reserve account, and look for "Experience Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status." If it is not there, the offer is not open to you, whatever you read elsewhere.

If it is there. Register between July 1 and September 30, 2026. Most requests go through within three business days. You need a Marriott Bonvoy number to register, so enroll at joinmarriottbonvoy.com/reserve first if you do not have one.

What you get. Gold Elite status for three months, starting the day after your registration clears.

How to keep it through February 2028. Stay three qualifying paid nights during those three months.

The part most people will miss. Those nights have to be booked directly with Marriott: the website, the app, the property, or a Marriott phone line. Nights booked through the Chase Travel portal do not count. Neither do Expedia, Booking.com, Priceline or the other online travel sites. Award nights and comped nights do not count, and only one room per hotel counts toward the three. The nights can be one stay or spread out.

Miss the three nights in time and your status drops to whatever your actual qualifying nights earned that year.

Not eligible. Anyone who already holds Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite or higher.
