Capital One Venture: 75,000 Miles Plus a $300 Stays Credit

Capital One is pairing the Venture Rewards card's standard 75,000 mile bonus with $300 of hotel and vacation rental credit, and the credit is the part that is actually new.

Worth being clear about the number, because the marketing is not. 75,000 is what this card always gives. Every outlet running this as a record offer is counting the $300 credit as part of the bonus. Treat it as a normal 75,000 offer with a genuinely useful sweetener on top.

The miles are the reason to care. Capital One transfers 1:1 to Air Canada Aeroplan with no transfer fee, and Air Canada's own chart prices business class from North America to Europe at 60,000 points one way, with the cheapest gateways from 35,000. The bonus alone covers that seat.

The catch is the credit, not the miles. It runs through Capital One Travel only, so you are booking in their portal at their prices rather than with the hotel directly, and it expires at the end of your first cardholder year. If you would never book a hotel that way, the offer is just the usual 75,000 and you should weigh it against every other card doing the same.
