British Airways Club Trims Bonus Tier Points on Premium Cabins

If you fly British Airways up front, the booking date now matters as much as the travel date. The extra tier points British Airways Club adds on top of the base earn for premium cabins are shrinking, and the new rates apply only to flights from April 1, 2027 that are booked on or after November 25, 2026. This is open to every British Airways Club member, with no invitation or selection involved.

Extra tier points per British Airways marketed flight, old to new:

• World Traveller Plus (premium economy): 275 down to 175. The flexible fares at 375, 475 and 575 are unchanged.
• Club World (business): 500 down to 200. Semi Flex goes from 700 to 400, Flex from 900 to 600, and Fully Flex from 1,100 to 800.
• First: 650 down to 300. Semi Flex goes from 850 to 500, Flex from 1,050 to 700, and Fully Flex from 1,250 to 900.

The old rates stay in two cases. A flight that departs between April 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027 keeps them whenever you booked it. And a flight booked before November 25, 2026 keeps them whatever its travel date. Short haul and long haul World Traveller (economy) are unchanged.

Flights marketed by American Airlines and Iberia take the same cuts on long haul: premium economy goes from 275 to 175, business from 500 to 200, and first from 650 to 300. Short haul and economy stay as they are.
