Last Chance: Capital One to EVA Air 30% Transfer Bonus Ends July 31

A 30% bonus on Capital One to EVA Air transfers is closing soon. EVA charges 75,000 to 80,000 miles one-way for a Royal Laurel business class seat from North America to Asia, and the bonus meaningfully cuts what you have to transfer. Move before the deadline if you have a specific redemption in mind.

Sitting on Capital One miles with a transpacific trip in mind? Capital One's 30% bonus to EVA Air ends July 31, 2026, so this is a today-or-tomorrow move.

The deal:

  • Capital One normally transfers to EVA Air at 4:3, so 1,000 miles becomes 750.
  • With the 30% bonus, 1,000 Capital One miles become 975 EVA miles, close to 1:1.
  • Only worth it with a specific EVA award already in mind, since transfers are one-way and final.

The sweet spot:

  • North America to Taipei in EVA's Royal Laurel business runs about 75,000 to 80,000 miles one-way (LAX, ORD, or JFK), in one of the best business seats flying.
  • EVA still uses a fixed, region-based award chart and allows up to two free stopovers on round-trip Star Alliance awards, so one ticket can string together three cities at one-trip pricing.

Before you transfer:

  • Citi ThankYou transfers to EVA at a straight 1:1 (no haircut) but takes 7 to 10 days, so if space is open right now, Capital One is the faster bridge. Amex and Chase are not EVA partners.
  • EVA miles expire 36 months from when each batch posts, so know the seat you want before moving anything.
