Finnair shows your price and bonus rate after you log in, so check your total cost before buying.
The main case where this makes sense: you have already priced a specific award, you are a little short, and you need to top off an account to book it. A bonus today is no guarantee it saves you money later, so buying Avios with no award in mind is not a plan.
