Avianca LifeMiles Sale: Up to 130% Bonus Through July 24

Avianca is selling LifeMiles with up to a 130% bonus through July 24, 2026. Before you reach for your wallet, know what you'd actually do with them.

Here's the reason to care: LifeMiles books Lufthansa, SWISS, and Austrian business class from the US to Europe at 63,000 to 70,000 miles one way, with no fuel surcharges. That last part is the whole point. Most programs bolt hundreds of dollars in surcharges onto the very same seat.

A few honest caveats:

• This isn't their best offer. LifeMiles has run buy-miles bonuses as high as 145%, so if you're not in a hurry, a better sale tends to come around.
• Cash and points combos are sometimes cheaper than buying miles outright. Price both before you commit.
• LifeMiles expire after 12 months without account activity (24 for elites), so don't stockpile without a trip in mind.

The rule of thumb: never buy miles without a specific booking in view. If you've already found the Lufthansa business seat and you're a little short, this is a fine way to close the gap. If you're buying "just in case," skip it and wait for 145%.
