Hyatt Moving to 5-Tier Award Chart in May — Book Aspirational Stays Now
World of Hyatt is replacing its 3-tier system with 5 pricing levels starting in May 2026. Top-tier properties could cost up to 67% more points at peak demand. The good news: any reservation booked before the change goes live is honored at current rates.
The new tiers are Lowest, Low, Moderate, Upper, and Top — replacing Off-Peak, Standard, and Peak. Category 8 properties can now price as high as 75,000 points per night at Top pricing, up from 45,000 at peak. Lower-demand nights may actually get cheaper at the bottom tiers. Hyatt says the rollout will be gradual in 2026 with broader adoption in 2027. But if you have a Park Hyatt, Alila, or high-category property in your sights — book it now. Cancellation policies vary by property so check before you lock in.
