Citi ThankYou Adds Japan Airlines, With a 30% Launch Bonus Through October 24

Japan Airlines Mileage Bank is now a Citi ThankYou transfer partner, and Citi is opening the partnership with a 30% bonus on transfers through October 24, 2026. What you get depends on which Citi card holds your points.

• Premium cards (Strata Elite, Strata Premier, Prestige, AT&T Access More): 1:1, so 1,000 points become 1,300 JAL miles with the bonus.
• Other ThankYou cards (ThankYou Preferred, Strata, Double Cash, Custom Cash, ThankYou Mastercard, and the AT&T Universal, Points Plus and Access cards): 1:0.7, so 1,000 points become 910 miles with the bonus.
• Minimum 1,000 points, in 1,000 point increments.
• The transfer must be completed by 11:59 PM ET on October 24.

Even with the bonus, the standard cards land below 1 to 1, so this one pays best on a premium card.

Transfers are one way and final. Find the JAL award first, confirm the seat is actually there, then move the points. With no award in mind, let this one pass.
