Citi ThankYou to Avianca LifeMiles: 25% Transfer Bonus Through October 24

Citi ThankYou points are moving to Avianca LifeMiles with a 25% bonus on transfers completed through 11:59 PM ET on October 24, 2026. The window opened September 20, and it shows on Citi's public transfer page with no login needed.

The 25% is the same for everyone. What lands in your LifeMiles account is not, because the ratio underneath depends on which Citi card holds your points.

• Premium cards (Strata Elite, Strata Premier, Prestige, AT&T Access More): 1,000 points become 1,250 miles.
• Other ThankYou cards (ThankYou Preferred, Strata, Double Cash, Custom Cash, ThankYou Mastercard, and the AT&T cards): 1,000 points become 875 miles, up from the usual 700.
• Minimum 1,000 points, in 1,000 point increments.

So the headline number is really a premium card number. Points on a Double Cash or Custom Cash get the same bonus and a smaller result.

Sort two things out before you transfer. The name on your ThankYou account has to match the name on your LifeMiles account, and you register your LifeMiles number with Citi first. Both are easier to fix today than on deadline night.

Transfers often post within 24 hours but can take up to five business days, and a submitted transfer cannot be cancelled or returned. That is a one way door with a delay on it, so leave yourself room before the 24th. Find the LifeMiles award you actually want, confirm the seats are there, then move the points.
